    Timeline for vacating judgment

I have a Chase judgment that is 10 months old.

When I filed, the lawyer told me to call him in a year to vacate this
judgment. Anyone ever hear of this or know why the year wait?

Did you include it on your bankruptcy?

If so take the copy of the creditors matrix and the final decree down to the courthouse that issued the judgment and talk to the clerk and have it vacated. You can do that yourself I think.

There may be a form you need to fill out to have it vacated, check your local courts website and you might can get it there. Then fill it out and take the papers to the court and have it vacated. You have to take it to the court that issued it not the bk court. Many clerks would help you I"m sure pointing you in the right direction.
