Tax Return Question

If you are well below the median income for your state, I live in Ma can they still take your tax return?? Just wondering.. I'm new at all this

They can, as it is considered an asset of the BK Estate. MA gives you the option of using Federal vs state exemptions, and if you can use federal you may have enough the wildcard exemption to cover it. Or you can spend it on necessities before you file.
