when are you REALLY out of scrutiny? (tax refunds, years, etc)

If we file a 7 and everything goes well, (please!!), then we should see a discharge in June/July.

But, if trustees are bugging OTHER discharged people for their tax returns and etc LONG AFTER discharge--well, when are they really and truly out of your business?

    When it's discharged?
    When it's closed?
    Never?

In most instances, once your case is closed, you are officially in the clear. The only thing you need to report is an inheritance if you receive it within 6 months of filing

bkNflorida, I did more digging and one of the moderators once said (I think it was HHM?) that the only thing you have to report is inheritance or lottery winnings, within 180 days. Maybe they can verify.

        and thank you, Laura.
