Had 1st appt with lawyer today....

I really liked her. She thinks we can qualify for ch 7 but it's borderline looking at our income vs expenses. She spent about 2 hours with us for free. She asked alot of questions and didn't seem concerned about our other house that an investor was making payments on. The investor called me yesterday and said they are assigning their rights back over to us since they can no longer afford the payments. Her fee was $2099 including the filing fee, credit reports, etc. She said our income tax refund and tuition reimbursement would not be counted as income on the means test. She gave me a huge packet to fill out listing everything I have done within the last 6 years, our assets, etc. I hope she is right and we can file a chapter 7! I had to provide 7 months worth of pay statements but 6 months worth of bank statements, last two years tax returns, etc. Just thought I would list this for those wondering what the attorney will ask for.
