Family size calculating median income - retroactive?

I have a newborn daughter, born the end of January. This makes us a family of four. When calculation median income for past 6 months for the means test, is the 'family of 4' retroactive for those 6 months? Or will I have to use 'family of 3' for previous months before my daughter was born?

I believe it is at the time you file is when you add your dependents but someone with more experience can probably answer this better.

It is at the time you file. I filed four days after I got married which made us a family of 4.
