    Liable or not

Will you be so kind as to confirm that we are not and cannot be held responsable for any debts discharged in our bankruptcy chapter 7 regardless if we continued to make monthly payments on said debts or not. We where dicharged in feb 08.

IE: Our home mortgage was discharged in our chapter-7 we did not re-afirm the loan but we do still live in the home and have continued to make our mortgage payments on time. If we where too walk away from the home and the mortgage the bank could not take any action against us and we cannot be held responsable for the remainder of the loan by the bank or the IRS(for any taxes) because the mortgage was discharged.

    Correct?

That is correct. For non-reaffirmed, secured debt upon which you continued to make payments after a chapter 7, you would not be personally liable for any deficiency in a future foreclosure.

What have your read or to whom have you spoken that raised some doubt in your mind?
