What does trustee generally ask for (poll)??

I've heard lots of different things as to what they look for...some have told me that their trustee didn't ask for anything at all and others said they asked for years of bank statements, tax returns and receipts.

What have your experiences been like?

Didn't ask for anything except picture ID and SScard. I just had to afirm figures given to my attorney and verify my signiture on documents for my 13. It was all done in small office. Waiting room was separate. Very informal meeting and I need not return for confirmation meeting. No creditors present and saw none in waiting area for previous case nor those behind me. Good luck and try not to worry because I wasted some time on worrying. Reading posts from others did a lot to help me in the wait.

the people that file pro se have to give the trustee everything that the attorneys ask for.
just about everyone that i have seen are asked for the same thing
2 years tax returns
1 year bank statements
6 months pay stubs
If you get unlucky and get audited
2 years of everything including CC statements.
I've yet to read any trustee asking for receipts
only bring your SS card and DL to your 341

Before my 341 I received a questionnaire in the mail. I had to fill that out and send it back with 2007 federal and state tax returns, 2 months of paystubs (prior to filing) and my most recent pay stub. That was it.

Plus of course the driver's license and SS card at the 341.

Beyond the SS card and photo ID, before the 341 my trustee asked for:

Three months of paystubs
Two months of bank statements
Two years of tax returns

We were sent a set of questions ahead of time and were told to bring that sheet filled out completely and of course SS card and DL. At the meeting, the trustee requested additional things from almost everyone in the room but they were specific to each case with the exception of this year's tax returns (my 341 was in December-he had all of us submit our return as soon as we filed it). In my case, he asked for 6 months of bank statements and credit card statements. I had used my cc's all the way up to filing and he just wanted to verify that I had used them for basic expenses and for paying one with another as I had stated. We had ten days to get all of that in to him.
