    Verifying income for Chap 7

What happens if I have no verifiable income? Over the past 6 mos, I have been between 3 jobs, and received some unemployment. I started a new job on 2/9/09, which should be lucrative and long-term, but is a 100% commissioned position, and I will likely not receive my 1st check until May or June. I can show what I've earned over the past 6 mos, but it isnt much

Can I still file now? We want to keep our primary home, but thats about it, but with regular monthly expenses, cant show enough income to afford it until then. Can the last 6 mos average still work, if it all comes from prior positions?

They will ask for your past two years of w-2 and any income earned the day you file. They also have access to see what you have been paid so do not lie to them about any income or it will be considered fraud

We are in almost the same boat. DH lost his job on Friday, so we won't have enough income to cover expenses.
I believe our attorney said for the means they look at the past but budget you look at the present/future income.
