341 on Feb4,2 unforseen expenses this week...can I add them to bk?

Hi all,
My 341 was on Feb4. We're just waiting around, although there was an "additional 341" my attorney went to on Wed this week...they said I didn't need to come. Anyhow 2 expenses have come up, and I'm wondering what my options might be:

1.) 2 weeks ago, the stress of the BK plus homeschooling plus our dog dying violently in the road while I was out of town on business caused my wife to begin having panic attacks. She just got home from 1 week in the local hospital's adult psychiatry dept getting the problem under control.
-She just found out I can expect 50% copays, and my bill might exceed 2,500. Can I get this IIB? What actions can/should I suggest my Atty take?


2.) I'm surrendering 3 4-unit apts. They're mostly vacant now, but the mgt company never told me they didn't turn off the power, and I'm sitting on 800.00 in invoices. The accounts are in my name, but I didn't declare the utilities because I didn't think of it. What are my options here?

If you incur debt after the date of filing you are responsible for it.

From what I understand, since the medical expense were incurred after you filed, they can not be included in bankruptcy. As for the utilities, if they were incurred after you filed they could not be included. However, you many be able to include any amount owed that was incurred prior to filing, but I am not sure. Hopefully someone here can answer that for you. In both cases you should be able to amend your schedule J to include these expenses. This may help your case by further reducing your disposable income. Good luck.

You guys are correct. Just talked to the atty.

Those apts were vacant at filing so I think a good amount of it might be able to be avoided. We'll see.

As for the hospital, maybe I'll just not tell my wife about it. The stress of knowing might send her back there.
