Waiting for the Trustee

Okay, it's been nearly two weeks now since I handed in my tax paperwork and got the anticipated amount that may be taken out of the return after the exemption.

Does anyone know how much longer I need to wait before I start making myself a daily pest and not the every couple day pest I've been for my lawyer's office? I think that enough time has passed for someone to just say pay X amount and let me get a bank draft for the amount. SO really would like his return so he can put it in his savings account.

UPDATE:

Apparently, the trustee didn't bother informing my lawyer that he'd closed the case last Wednesday. Hubby called on my lunch break today to say there was a letter for me from the bankruptcy court in the mail, so I had him open it for me. It said that the case was closed.

I called the lawyer to confirm this. The trustee had just sent over the information late last night and they were making calls today to inform people of the trustees decision. It's my understanding from the lawyer that this trustee does this a lot and leaves people hanging.

I don't have to pay anything out of the tax return, which is good. I plan on sticking it in my savings for later this year when I might need it for my car inspection.
