it went so quick and painless...cant believe i freaked out! and i got my state/federal taxes back on the 10th..didnt file until the 12th....trustee said anything before fiing date is MINE!! thanks for the help everyone!!

congrats! was your refund a large refund? I filed taxes on Jan 16th and received them on Jan 30th and filed bankrupt on Feb 5th. My refund was around $5,000 because of kids. I really needed it and my attorney said they will ask me how it was spent and want proof.... I'm nervous I have my 341 tomorrow.Comment

We recieved our taxes on Feb 20th and still have yet to spend part of our taxes before we get back with our lawyer on whats next to do. He wants us to spend at least half of our taxes, we may have to spend more, he said to get back with him after half is spent.KristinComment

yea...my refund was $3600...but when we first got to the 341 meeting, the trustee made an announcement about how things were going to work. She then said if you have filed your taxes and got your return before February 12th(the day I filed), that they could not touch it.
