The USTrustee was at our 341... asked us a ton of questions then gave us a list of documentation that she needs... My question is-- I started pulling some of the things together-- and I have just started--but my question is what if your supporting docs show you a little LOW or HIGH on your petition. Just by a few dollars--but as I have just pulled checking accounts and getting documents together to support some numbers on the petition-- it seems to be off by just a few dollars-- either high or low. Now b/c I have just started there may be explanations like I haven't added everything or over added...but it brought the question to mind-- what will they do if the numbers don't match exact. I am talking about slightly not drastically!

Not a fun process, I know. When I went through this, I printed a blank copy of the Means Test, Schedule I and Schedule J and did all of the calculations myself using only the amounts I could back up with receipts/documentation. I found some discrepancies in my favor and some not in my favor, but I corrected both. The UST will rework all three of these parts of your petition so you might as well do the same. Give yourself every dime you can, but be prepared to defend your numbers.

Small variance might be excused by cash payments for food/gas etc if you get cash back. Help went through the process and has good advice.
Just gather all the documents up. You can still beat the UST just don't give up.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
