Pay Increase between filing and 341

Filed pro se 2/10/09 and meeting scheduled 4/10/09. Received an unexpected pay increase on 3/6/09 that puts me a couple thousand over the median in Ca. Im a ch7 no assests case. Ive read the other posts, cant pull out a clear answer. How will this affect me? Any help please.

When you go to your 341 take check stubs from the time of filing til the 341 just in case.

The Trustee at the 341 will ask if there has been any changes.

Reply to him that there has been a change in that you got an unexpected raise after filing. He'll probably ask to see the check stubs. This way you can show the increase was after your filing and the amount of it. Usually they aren't to interested if the amount is less than 10%. (If he doesn't ask for them don't volunteer them just carry them just in case).

How would your expenses to income look with the increased income?

After the increase, I am still going to be under by -$136/mon. My worry is that he sees that this increase puts me over the median and the raise is more than 10%. TIA

If your income/expense is still negative I don't see it affecting you much.

At worst he might continue the 341 to review the situation but in the end I think you'd still win out.
