We did, but mainly because we had collectors threatening freezing our accounts. It also depends on how much money you have in your account.
If you are spending you money no need to. Its actually good for showing where your money is going. Most people don't have extra cash after payday so they have no problems keeping direct depost. Its in one day and out the next. LOL

Bk4 you should not worry, unless you have a Judgment against you. If not, no one can touch you. In your banking, do you have a cross collateralized debt being discharged? If not, don’t worry. ‘Hub

This misses something in the translation, but if I'm correct, you are worried about a Vet bill. I think that will be looked at as peanuts and a necessary expense anyway. 'Hub

If you haven't filed yet, you want to make sure that your account balance on the day that you file is as low as possible. In PA, you are allowed a $300 wild card, which you would probably apply to the money that is in your account. Assuming that you aren't using the wild card for anything else, then you want to have your account balance under $300.

As for direct deposit, this can affect things, because you must plan carefully to get your account balance low. For instance, I paid my rent, my daughter's preschool, and my filing fee with money orders because they do not make any adjustments for non-cashed checks. They will only look at the balance that the bank reports on that day.

Now, I'm not sure if this is what your question was aimed at, but I just want to make sure you have the info you need.

You can plan your filing date to be a few days before your DD hits, when your account should be at your lowest.

IF you have bills to pay , you could possibly pay them with online banking features, that way the money is debited right away and the account shows where it went, for example "Gas Co."
