Hi All--
I've been lurking here for awhile now and just wanted to say it's good to have a place to come to for support. I filed Chapter 7 (with an attorney) on February 27th. My 341 is April 22nd. There is quite a backlog at this time in my district-Southern District of Ohio (Dayton). I'm a little nervous, but my attorney tells me I will have a smooth ride--way under median, no red flags.
I am worried slightly about having been on my elderly mother's bank accounts as a co-owner until January. I am now on only as Power of Attorney, which is all I ever was really since I have never made even one deposit to any of her accounts-- no co-mingling of funds. I write all of her checks to pay her bills as she has severe macular degeneration. She's 93. We made the change in January because I was being sued by a creditor--Portfolio Recovery Associates for Providian. My attorney says no worries since we listed the accounts on the schedules and there is a valid explanation.
Anyway, that's my story. Anyone familiar with the trustees in this district. Just curious.
Breathing a little easier, but will probably get more nervous as my "day" arrives. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.
BTW, avatar is Ash Cave at Hocking Hills if anyone is familiar with the area.

Keep us posted on how your doing and your situation. You never know when it will help someone else. I was on my daughters checking account till about a month before we filed. The trustee asked and I said it was my adult daughters account and none of it was ever my money to spend as I had not earned a penny of it. She was satisfied. Good luck!
