HELP! DH pulled out $500 cash two mos. b4 filing

Okay so my DH is not as "up to date" on the BK details with regards to planning appropriately and not doing anything fishy. (looking to file ch 7 July 1 at earliest)

Well, we had talked about the need to empty our B of A bank acct since our high cc debt is there and we were gonna miss the pmt this month.

Well he took it the wrong way and pulled out $500 cash at the ATM thinking he just didnt want BofA to take our money.

Yes, this thinking is somewhat irrational but DH is not really knowledgeable about BK (neither am I but this forum is my big help)

SO my question is - what do I do now? Do I spend this money down? put it in bank? ANd even if I do, will the trustee (when he examines bank statements) look at every withdrawal? I am afraid (my husband did this last month too with $300). Will he ask me what I spent it on because the last time I never saved receipts.

Also, need to buy a mattress and some other necessary items, but I am looking to buy used. if I buy cash from a garage sale or Craigslist, what will trustee think of where my cash went? (I am not talking huge amounts of money here, maybe hundreds of dollars)

I am worried because to me, $500 is a lot of money (That we never have except now because of missing mortgage!) Im sure most people think its chump change, but what will the trustee think?

Anyone have experience with this? THANKS....I also need something in stone to tell my DH that he can no longer try to "save" our money from being taken by B of A...

Nothing wrong with closing a bank account. Just disclose it on the forms.
You are not under the trustees control until you file. You can maintain a reasonable and ordinary lifestyle.
No way on earth I buy a used matress!

I just didnt know how you track purchases with cash that give no receipts...i dont want trustee to think i am pulling out a bunch of cash and hiding it from him....they must look out for people doing that....?
