Just wanted to let everybody interested in creditors meeting in NJ /Newark know , how things work there. We had our last Thursday. The meeting took place in office building , not court.Particularly in small conference room. There was maybe 20 other people in this room , and more people waited in the hall. Our trustee was a nice looking young lady ( about 40 years old) . My first impression of her was kinda calming and peaceful , cuz she has smiling nicely and acting in very nice and professional manner, during the only one case we watched b4 ours , that case took about 5 minutes, and we were called and went to her table only minutes after we arrived , as second case ,thanks to our attorney agreement with her. She started of easy , asking us all the standard questions, and at the the moment I though she was done , she started to ask more and more details ,I was surprised and a little scared cuz it seamed like she knew exactly what to ask , like she was studying our case very carefully .When she was not satisfied with an answer she asked a few tricky questions, every time , I wasn't detailed enough with my answer. Some key questions she asked twice( after several other question she asked same question ) , I think to make sure , that the answer would be the same. Also she seamed very knowledgeable in business law , and even though our case was a bit complicated ( international business was involved, and Europe business and tax law ) she knew exactly what to ask and what to look for. I was extremely impressed , cuz of her young age ,and remembering what hell i went true looking for the attorney to understand our bk situation, at first place. She asked us about 50 questions, and it took around 45 minutes.Than she said thank you and smiled again haha. Our attorney said that we are fine , after talking to her for a second.
By the way, i was lucky enough to find an amazing attorney in NJ, with almost 40 years of exp and little private office.
Anyways he was just amazing , very calming and comforting attitude.Incredibly friendly and understanding and lots of knowledge.
Answered every single phone call right away as well as emails, we have not had even a slight problem with anything at all, i can't imagine i could find anyone better.
Plus he is not too expensive and incredibly flexible when it comes to scheduling his fee. I swear this person has heart of gold. I highly recommend him , if anyone interested please PM me.
Anyways, our creditors meeting was on Thursday, last week , and Friday morning there was pacer entry....of no founds distribution, and atty called and said we need to take 2nd course and wait for 2 months.
After all our BK exp was not that bad at all, everything went incredibly easy and there was as little stress as possible , but i guess its all about the atty you chose. I'm really glad that we finally decided to do it and its almost over.
