We have 2 properties... one our primary which we reside and one which was rented... on our chp.7 paperwork we indicated we were planning on just riding through on both... paying but not reaffirming(not exactly sure what tech. term)..
Anyhow, when we informed the renters we were filing chpt. 7 but would keepthe home(they had rented from us for over 4 years)--- they have decided to no longer do so...
So, we are deciding to let the house go-- this will be the first month with no mortg payment(we just found out today... Do we need to amend the papers? we are suppose to be discharged on May 11th... Do we to inform the morg company? Can we just stop paying? How about getting another mortg one day will this be a double ding on our credit or does bankruptcy basically wipe out everything?
So many more emotions than I thought-- Why is it still so hard and feel so wrong with each step of this process-- I get excited one day and go crazy the next... Just wish I had all the answers.
