Going over my copy of our ch7 petition, I realized I forgot to list an asset.
I purchased a gun earlier this year, (paid cash), and of course, went though the required back ground check and waiting period.
I purchased the gun for personal protection reasons. We live way out in the boonies and 6 out of the 8 houses in our neighborhood are vacant/foreclosed and seem to get broken into or vandalized often.
The gun is a 9mm pistol and I paid $300. It is not a collectable or anything like that...just an ordinary handgun, no frills.
Should I amend my petition to show this "asset" or wait till the 341 and see if it comes up. If asked, I would be truthful about it.
I called the attny's office but he's out and his para didn't come in today according to the receptionist.
If you're wondering how I forgot about it...I don't carry the gun on me so it's not something that's always on my mind. It stays hidden at home.
My wife doesn't even know where it's hidden but it's in a spot that I can get to quickly if I have to.
