We file ch7 on March 20th. We got a statement from a creditor today. So I called them and they said they just got notice today that we are bankrupt.

Over a month later? Do they mean that just got the letter that we have filed bk? or is it something sent to them after? He didn't say they received notice of abkruptcy but it was put down as we are bankrupt? Same thing?
Our 341 isn't until May 11th and i haven't even signed up on Pacer so i don't know whats going on with our case.
This is the same creditor who collection dept was calling us for awhile after we filed, so i answered and gave them the info. They stopped calling. But that had to be about a month ago. Did it take them that long to find out we filed? He did ask if it was statements or letters. I'm assuming its 2 differenr depts them come from.

Some of them are a bit slow at getting it in their system. However, if they send you something else or continue to call then have your attorney take care of it. They would be in violation of the automatic stay that put in place when filing.

Yea this is the only one we have gotten anything from. Funny how they just happen to get the info the day I called. LOL
