341 meeting recap october 6th

1. arrived 1 hour early only a couple people in room. Most meetings started at noon or 11:45
2. 3 trustees in the room and they each had 6 hearing an hour
3. My attorneys rep showed up and he informed me of what would happen said it was really and easy meeting
4. I informed him that there were a simple error about 250 dollars paid to visa and also question being wrong on statement of financial affairs being incorrect about me living in a community prop state which i didnt
5. lawyer informed me he would inform the trustee and don't worry
6. Trustee shows up 35 minutes late and starts calling people im third to be caLLED
6. Entere room and within 3 minutes I am done and he states he reccomends that this is a no asset case.
7. Never asked about my seperation from my wife at all? I thought they would say something
8. Never asked about gambling or where money went
9. Never asked anything.
10. The guy seemeed like he needed to catch up and he was on fire.
11. I talked to my attorney afterwards about recent cash used on cards from 60-90 days ago and large cash advance 4 months ago and he said don't worry to prove fraud its hard and if you ussually paid its more difficult
12. now the waiting game begins for objections and hopefully in 60 days it will be all over

That is great pig, a relief for me. I am just hoping that I can rebuild from my mistakes. I have a feeling that it will be hard for me to get a home within the next 8-10 years as I would be a first time home buyer so all in all, that is the only negative for me

Im still nervous the cards will come after my wife which i am seperated from. Everything was in my name and she was authorized user on two cards. I was told authorized user doesn't matter. Im just nervous. I won't feel safe until everything is done.
Illinois isn't community property so most likely she is out of the woods. I just want everything to be over with.

An authorized user is not the same as a co-signer on the account. You can have all the authorzed users you want (if the company agrees), you have no fear. IF they contact her it is a bluff, worth a try to the company.
I am glad it has worked out so far for you dumbpig(i really hate referring to you that way & I collect pigs - collectibles that is).
I do hope that you will go and gamble no more. As long as you get up each day there is always hope. If you can not gamble, I think you will see a fast upward spiral to good things in your life. Maybe you and your wife can work things out.

Great news that the 341 went well!
Soon you will be ready to start the next chapter of your life! We've got two more weeks for objections, (trustee has already stated it is a no asset case). And then our rebuilding officially begins. We've been going for about a year without credit cards, so we are truly moving in a positive direction towards a stronger financial future.
And good luck on reconciling with your wife. Maybe this is will be a fresh start for all aspects of your life! All the best!

Hi Bankruptsaluki, I have yet to be a first-time homebuyer myself, and I've been told at least two years.....I've been told lots depends on the FICO score and the effect after bankrupcty (some scores can go up). Don't lose hope.

Hong long did it take your 341 to occur from the day you filed?

I filed end of august and the date was oct 6. 39 days total

dumbpig - glad your 341 went well. I remember I was in anxiety overload before mine as well. It was such a relief when it was over. I too hope you can recover from your gambling problem; it is certainly a curable addiction. I also hope you can reconcile with your wife. On your BK the waiting can be unnerving but now you know the end is in sight. Good luck!
