Do they sometimes NOT come get surrendered vehcicles?

We have a non running 2001 dodge truck that we surrendered and it is work maybe 3-4 grand. It is through cap one auto finance. How long do they have to come and get it? Is it considered abandoned after a certain time? I know you can apply for a salvage title on it after a certain amount of time but I am just wondering if you are always going to be waiting for them to come and get it.

we checked surrender in the petition, we phoned them and they told us, as long as you pay and pay on time we will not come and get the car..... I carried this on for a while after my discharge but my payment was too high I phoned them and arranged for them to come and get it, which they did. You will have no problem as long as you pay.

we have another car, that is dead we had it with USAA it was surrended and they do not want it, how does one go about getting a salavge title? it is sat in my driveway and we do not have the Title... and USAA do not want it?

If they do not want the car, ask them to release the title. If they refuse, politely write them a letter that you will start charging them storage space in your driveway, as the car is no good to you without the title. Force their hand and you may be surprised that you get the title. If you do not ask, there is only one answer. 'Hub

My Hubby

had mentioned that to them, he then said he would notufy the police that there was an abandoned car on our drive, they told him to go ahead! and that they will release the title to the police or towing company but not us. Such a shame as that car could have been donated to the salvation army as it could be fixed with a few dollars. just had a new fuel pump put on it....
