I`m a terrible typist and just posted on the 13 forum by accident, so this will probably be shorter. I`m researching for info on converting from a 13 to a 7 and am looking for people who have dealt with the same situation. I`ve been in a13, 27 months at an 80% payback of 120k cc debt. So far I`ve paid 50k and 3200 to my lawyer. My income has decreased substantially and my wifes temp job is coming to and end. Mortgage,second and car payment all paid outside the 13, all current so far. My lawyer seems reluctant to try and convert. She says KY median is 65k, and we will be over by 25k. After mortgage, second, car payment and expenses we will be at break even or slightly negative. A new lawyer I have spoken with says he could convert for us if our current lawyer will not try. They always seem reluctant to do anything after they have been paid. At this point, I don`t know who to trust or believe.For all who have converted, how much hassle was it between the trustee and the lawyer. I don`t have any cool big boy toys, just a house full of stuff. Nothing less than a few years old. Did they try and come after household stuff as assets? Thanks for all advice and input in advance!!
