no papers to sign, but you do need to take the post BK course and file it with your atty or the court and trustee(if you havent already done so).

UhhhOhhh thanks so much. Your instructions were perfect. This is the first time I have ever checked Pacer. Good news it said awaiting close no assets to distribute or something to that affect. It also had a judge's name now and a date was updated from about two weeks ago. So it sounds like things are moving along quite nicely. I don't think I will check anymore. Does anyone know if you have to go back to your atty's office and sign papers for the discharge? Or is the 341 the only thing we had to do?

I had the same problem you are when I first tried to look at my stuff... here is what I do:

go to that link. Click on the link right under the title that says 'enter US party/case index'. Then in the box enter your pacer login and pacer password and click on 'verify login' at the bottom.

Then when the list of courts comes up - under 'search' click on 'bankruptcy' then when the box comes up enter your social security number where it says 'SSN/TIN' (remember the dashes, as in xxx-xx-xxxx). click 'search'.

Then when the page comes up, click on the blue link that is your case number. A yellowish page will come up with headings: 'Alias' 'Associated cases' 'Attorney' etc ... click on the one that says 'status' and it will bring up the status of your case. Then click the 'back' button and then click on 'History of documents' - check 'all events' and 'display docket text' ( I always change it to 'list recent items first' so I can see what the last thing was) and click 'run query'. This will bring up everything that was filed. You can click on the little blue numbers in the left hand column to bring up that item and then when the page of that item comes up you can click 'view document' and it shows you the actual document itself.
    Hope that helps.

So I've gone to Pacer and my meeting was Friday the 22nd. My last filing date shows 5/26 so I'm assuming something was updated right? But where do I go to see what has changed?

    Thanks!

    started a topic Pacer

    Pacer

Ok, seriously, i log onto pacer and what do i do from there?????? This is so confusing, i wish i would have never signed up!

I filed Ch 7 about 3 weeks ago, and we have our meeting with the trustee on June 9th, I just wanted to see if anything was on there, I entered my case number and it brought up a list of names (other people with the same case number...what is this???) Don't we each have our own case numbers?

And then it shows my name, my husbands name and the trustees name ....from there, i have no idea what to do.
