341 meeting is out of the way :)

Had my 341 meeting. Seems there are lot's of people doing Ch. 7 right now, there were a ton of people there and court was almost 3 hours behind when I got there this afternoon. I was near the end of the list, so it was a long wait (close to 4 1/2 hours spent sitting around there). Didn't want to chance leaving for a bit and missing my turn since I missed my first meeting.

Meeting with the trustee was about 90 seconds tops, showed the ID and SS card, showed the 2008 return and the trustee asked a few questions and done. Now just wait and see. It was a little nerve racking and stressful, didn't realize I was so stressed until after when I started driving home.

The most interesting thing I noticed through all the cases is the people who had mistakes on their forms all had lawyers. A few were a little complicated, but a few weren't at all. Trustee got a little peeved at a couple of the lawyers.

Glad you made it thru your 341 meeting. Some breeze thru and others have problems. Yes, it is the waiting game; however, if you didn't have any creditors show up and get deemed 'no asset' you've probably got it made and will just have to wait until discharge!

I can't wait until we get our case filed on 9/30/09 (waiting for some income to drop off in Feb.) and pray every day we do't get sued

Again, glad you breezed thru your 341.

Hey glad you got through it, get you some rest you earned it .

I had a very good lawyer....all of his cases except one (who showed up almost 30 min late) were very simple affairs. However there were a couple of lawyers who not only had mistakes on new cases but mistakes on already continued cases still.....
