You can buy the E version online at www.nolo.com.
Google for a discount code, I bought it for 7.99 online E version.
Good info for 8 bucks even if you use a lawyer.

When 'Hub and I bought ours a year ago, one poster at the time remarked that it helps you keep your lawyer honest.
It is a very good reference, written in plain English. We bought ours online at nolopress.com and paid about half of what the print version would cost at a bookstore. Nolopress offered at the time a 'freebie' which is a layman's guide to other legal matters such as tenant/landlord, simple wills, etc. We have also purchased other Nolopress products, and have been very pleased.
Good luck to you."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

Hi lookingforward: I work at a library too, and I STRONGLY recommend buying your own copy from nolopress, and not relying solely on the material in the library.Originally posted by lookingforward View PostI work at a library, and you can get it there. If your local library doesn't have it, most libraries belong to a state wide group and can request it for you from another library in your state. That's where I got the one I used.
The reason is that by the time the Selection Committee gets through making their recommendations, the item is ordered, then processed in, cataloged and put on the shelf for the patrons, at least six months if not more time has passed, and the information may very well be out of date.
More times than not, the book is put in the Reference Section where the patron cannot check it out. It is well and good to use the library as a source of information to educate yourself, but when you need the latest up-to-date version, as BK law is changing all the time, you need to buy it yourself.
Good luck."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

If you check your publication dates and specify you want the latest edition, you can certainly get the newest books available, at least in my library system.
Also, our library does not take six months to get a book on the shelf. Our director orders an item, they are cataloged three times a week, and they can be in a patron's hands within five days from the day she ordered it. Not every library takes as long as yours.
And, like I said, I borrowed my copy from another library, so obviously, it was not reference, I was able to check it out. Something that is reference at one library might be able to be borrowed from another library in the state.
That aside, probably, yes, its best to have your own copy, and its always best to have the absolute latest publication. But, I was able to get fifteen books about filing bankruptcy and rebuilding credit, and they were all published recently. If someone is unable to spend the cash on a book when they are struggling to buy food and diapers, the library is a very good alternative.
