For those of you waiting for closure in Florida..

Don't know how true this is, but at our 341 last Friday, I overheard one of the lawyers and the trustee talking about how the trustee will not get paid until the case is closed. I read someone's post earlier about how there bk was still not closed and thought maybe this would help someone!
    Filed CH 7 05/06/09

That is interesting. We were discharged August 13, 2008, and are still awaiting closure. We have been watching PACER and the various documents posted there. We also called our caseworker and were told it was a matter of tying up the loose ends--whatever that meant.

We are an asset case. A couple of creditors (a hospital and an orthopedic group) tried to have their claims boosted to 'priority' above those of some of the other creditors, notably the IRS. That was disallowed. And yes, there was paperwork there regarding eventual payment to the trustee and his attorney. So what you overheard was interesting, indeed.

We are in the Middle District. Where are you?

I hope that is truly the case. We have been discharged for 300 days, but not closed. Last enteries were submission of payment and two motions of trustees to rebuke two attempts at collecting out of priority status.

We have an AP that may stll us. No action for five years on a civil trial yet the AH wished the Federal Court to do the dirty deed. They tossed it back to State. To date, still stalled. No closure yet. 'Hub

We are middle district. The exchange between the 2 of them definitely sounded as if it was a new process. I was listening very intently to everything the trustee and that lawyer spoke about in their conversation!
