I'm calling it even. I may have put alot of effort into the BK, but he's worked his tail off for the past 5 months. (And he is one that DOES NOT like to work!)

The No Distribution note was much appreciated. I knew that would be the outcome, but seeing that seems to make it a bit more official. Now, we just need to work on sticking to a budget, and making wise decisions. Its not that those tasks will be difficult-we just have to make sure not to lose sight of them!

I've read many times that a successfull budget trick is to create an overall plan in writing that divies up your money for bills and such and includes a 10 percent of wages (minimum) or more for your savings account. Then you give yourself a monthly cash allowance that you can use for entertainment/eating out/misc. non-necessities. Once it's spent that's it for the month/week until next time.

I've now lived so long on such a razor thin budget that I'm used to it and actually feel that I've become much stronger as a result. I'm no longer one of the many sheep, who thinks that the latest and greatest toys = happiness.

So when I do start working again I will have a plan(for the first time) and will have the willpower to stick to it! I will be making a very good living and will be able to enjoy it because I wont have to have everything NOW.

I'm using MS Money, since it came on our computer.

Here is a tip: before panicking if your forecasted checking account budget gets deeper & deeper into the negative each month, make sure your scheduled deposits are assigned to this account.
