    car reaffirm

If you are current on a auto loan and you don't reaffirm the loan. How soon
can the bank repo the car after discharge. My wife is taking the van to
see her mom in S.C on the 25th returning onthe 30th. I should be discharged on the 27th. I'm current on the loan and would like to keep it as long as
possiable, but will not reaffirm. I'm willing to take a chance on paying it
each month and them taking it but don't want to get in trouble if it out of state and can be returned on a given date.

The only surefire way to avoid repossession is to reaffirm and maintain your payments.

In reality, most lenders will leave you alone so long as you make your payment on time.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
