Need to put everything in Quicken and then crank out some of those nice pie charts for us to see. Why couldn't you have done a Chapter 7 if you're that broke?
-
Actually I don't know where my money goes.
Except for my home, nothing e4lse is "expensive". I don't even really take vacations. I own 2 Ford Focus'! I like Applebees!
I try not to live like some others in the neighborhood. My problem has really been, owning two homes. That was my downfall.

I know, but your standard of living is probably WAY higher than mine. You probably live in a very expensive home, have an expensive car, eat at expensive places, have expensive things in your home and go on expensive vacations. I'm sure you spend money a lot differently than I do. All of my friends who have 6-figure incomes do so.Originally posted by justbroke View PostI use to think the same thing. The Cost of Living is always the same... all you've got!

But if you are paying $5380/mo., that means you have thousands of other dollars in addition to that coming in. Man, I wish I had that kind of income! That is SLAMMING!!

You have to pay $5,380 PER MONTH for 5 years?!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT?!!?!
Not $5380 over 60 months?! That's actual PER MONTH?
Damn, son! YOU ARE BANKING IT!!

It's in my signature line. Yes, it's that high.Originally posted by debtmonster View PostSince I heard that most 13's can't be paid back, is it possible to ever file Ch. 7 after doing a 13?
How much do you have to pay per month for the next 48 months? Is it one payment that the court disperses to all of the creditors? If so, how do they split it?
Hopefully, someday, I can convert to a Chapter 7, but that will affect my lien strip. But I really don't care about this place... so...

At least the calls stopped!

Justbroke, you were broke a very long time ago. Hasn't things changed since then? Are you above broke now?
I will be broke until my bankruptcy is all done and over with. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I need to meet with many people here for a dinner celebration after I am done. Maybe I can even have some nice fist fights in the parking lot for all of the people who hate me on here. We could have a blast!! We need to celebrate these bankruptcies as if we won the lotto... ALL THAT RELIEF!! I can't wait to stick it to all of these collection agencies who keep trying to rag on me.

And there's the hidden truth and not a bad point to raise.Originally posted by debtmonster View PostIt's totally ridiculous for people to die or get badly hurt in car accidents when they crash at 30-60 MPH when race car drives walk away without a crash after walking away from a mangled mess at 180 MPH.
For injury-based deaths... 40% of the people killed by injury are killed in automobile accidents. That's about 45,000 people a year. Needless if yuou ask me.
But then, we get all excited about 2 people dying from H1N1 (Swine Flue). Influenza, according to the CDC, causes 20,000 deaths a year.
Where are our priorities?

I need the law that goes to car manufacturers:Originally posted by justbroke View PostWell, they passed a law here. They put up yellow signs, with 35 MPH and "Caution: Deer Crossing". So I guess the deer have the right of way in my area!
- Thou will not sell a car that does not have ABS
- Thou will not sell a car that does not have stability control
- Thou will not sell a car that does not stop from 60-0 in 100 feet
- Thou will not sell a car that a person cannot walk away alive in a severe car crash the same way they can in an Indianapolis 500 when a driver crashes at 150-180 MPH
Wouldn't those be sweet laws?

They need to build all cars like race cars. I don't care if the public likes it or not... it's to SAVE LIVES.

I still don't understand why deer think that they can "make it" across.
Don't they see their fellow deer laying there?
Deer roam through my back yard all night. The major deer crossing in the area, crosses 4 lanes with a median about 20ft wide. It's also right next to a major intersection that is 8 lanes across. They just keep crossing there with people driving minimum 45MPH.
Maybe they should make a sign for the deer to warn them... Caution: Cars!

I was on my way to work (in town, mind you) at 8am one day doing about 45mph when a deer jumped in front of my 1985 Buick LeSabre LTD. Deer made it to the side of the road, car kept going.
When I got to work and saw the ruined nose/grill/etc, I very much wanted to go back and... ensure... the deer was dead. Repeatedly.
Loved that car. They simply don't make them like that anymore.
Disclaimer: One deer was killed in the making of this story; it lay on the shoulder for a day or two, appearing in better outward shape than my car, if rather less active. The aforementioned vehicle made me angry to look at, but was still running strong when sold for $500 six months later.
