We just banged up our car!

We filed Ch. 7 last week and planned to have pay trustee to keep our vehicles, but my husband just got home and said that someone driving a truck and pulling something too wide for his lane hit the side of our car. A section of the front corner is completely missing! What will happen regarding the car's value now? The guy driving the truck never stopped. My husband is waiting for the police to come so we can file an accident report. Will this impact what we have to give the trustee? We plan to file with our insurance company.

My guess is it won't change anything, since your insurance will pay for the damage. (After repair value would be same as before repair value.)
