credit card in the mail(it was included in bankruptcy)

I received a circuit city Chase card in the mail replacing my old car which hadn't expired. I have checked my credit report and the card is included in the bankruptcy. Is this by the credit card company to get me to reaffirm my debt? I havn't received anything about reaffirming my card. My 341 meeting was 10/6/05 and I am throwing the card away. Anyone have a similar situation or experience. I had a 2400 dollar balance on the card when I declared.

I'm over limit with a couple and they sent me new ones too...So no, not trying to reaffirm (That requires a signed contract) you to them.

Throw it away, don't worry about it.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

It's not technically re-affirming. BUT...be very careful. From what I have read, often they have it in the fine print, that if you accept the card, all of your pre-BK debt on that card will be transferred to the "new" card or could actually even be the same card number, but it still puts you on the hook for the previous debt.
Remember that you may not have to actually "sign" anything. Often the fine print states that by calling and "authorizing" this card, you accept responsibility for all of the terms and conditions.
Throw that sucker away, unless you want that debt! My $.02 only. Art
