The courts are busy, as ALOT of people filed in the last couple of weeks. Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

NOTE 130,000 filed in just a few days time.
Talk about busy, they aren't going to see daylight - till after the snow flies!!!

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

No hurry
Believe me, I'm in no hurry to have my 341. That's just a longer period of time I can enjoy the comfort of not having to sweat everytime the phone rings (although, I just know that I'll probably have to deal with one [dumb a$$] creditor). I'm being optimistic of a possible long wait. If it doesn't happen until Jan., Feb or even March, so be it.Bankruptcy History:
Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
Discharged - 02/16/2006
Case Closed - 11/08/2007

All suggestions are based on personal experience and research and SHOULD NOT be construed as legal advice as I am NOT an attorney. Always consult with competent counsel in your area with regards to your particular situation.

That long wait would concern me. What if you get a big raise/promotion at work in that time period? What if you get a big fat year end bonus?
If your 341 meeting was in nov or dec, they probably wouldn't ask about tax returns. But in Jan or Feb they might start poking around with them. I want it over and done with.

Regarding tax returns, trustees are already asking about them-its more based on when you filed than when your 341 is held.
Income changes after you filed are irrelevant, unless its something that was started before filing. Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research.
