Need some answers worried sick....

We filed chapter 7 in February of this year. 341 meeting on 03/26/09 trustee state he would recommend us to be discharged in chapter 7 we are a no asset case. Our bk still has not been discharged. I contacted our attorney they said courts are busy that was 2 months ago, so i decided to contact the bk court and the clerk told me that for some reason the reaffirmation agreements were not looked at or approved yet and she would get them to the appropriate person. That's all she could tell me. We have done everything we were supposed to except we were 3 days late in getting the pre discharge counseling completed. That is basically the last thing showing on pacer. Since we filed with an attorney will we have to have a reaffirmation hearing? I don't believe we will be considered as an undue hardship as our Schedule J shows a positive of $42.00 a month. We reaffirmed our 1st mortgage our 2nd mortgage and our car loan. However the 1st mortgage must not have completed the reaffirmation because it is not showing as filed on pacer. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Some home lenders don't ever file the reaffirmation agreement, that's to your benefit though not theirs.

With a lawyer representing you it is not likely you'd appear at a reaffirmation hearing.

Courts are backed up in a lot of districts, it simply doesn't have the personnel and money to do as efficient a job as should be done. (You know like that 700k the government let Social Security Admin waste on a big party could have been better spent by the courts..)

I just wonder how long it will take before they will approve the reaffirmation agreements before they will finally discharge me.
