You need to differentiate between authorized user and co-signer. There is a large difference. Hard to give you answers w/out all the facts. Ex can pay off the car, get & keep the car & pay it, sell whatever, or they will sell it and he is responsible for the balance. That is what a co-signer does, be responsible when the other party can't pay. He can go to the 341 if he wants, the trustee will put him in his place if he gets out of line. If doesn't know "how" to object, he will just end up getting pissed off and leave.
