    I don't know. That doesn't really sound right to me, but I only know what I've read on here and googled. I haven't talked with a lawyer, yet.

    We only have 2 cars. My son is only 10 so no car for him.

    Maybe your husband is trying to exempt the work van under the "tools of trade" exemption.

    44-13-100 - Tools, books, and implements of trade up to $1,500.

    Not sure if that's possible, though?

      Yes, I'm sure that the work truck would go with tools of the trade...but...TOOLS...he has everything ever made! If they take those, he can't work! There was something said about depreciation which caused my H not to worry about it too much...?

      I'm so scared and confused and trying to get some peace because I don't know how long it will be before we can get in to see the lawyer. I'm also afraid he'll tell us anything so we will file and he can get our money. I haven't even met him, but I don't trust anybody!

        Naomi, I went to that link and it sounds like we get to keep nearly NOTHING!!!

        But my husband swears the lawyer made it sound a LOT rosier. I just don't understand!!!!!!!!!!!!
