Hi I'm new here and have been reading the threads for a while now. I have already retained a lawyer but I am just so stressed over the situation. I have a signing date of Sept.16th. I am already behind on my mortgage and car(both that I am letting go back) about two months. I was told by the lawyer at our first meeting to go ahead and quit paying on the stuff I wasn't keeping. I am also married but since all the debt is in my name I am filing by myself.
So my questions are will they go after my wife for the house or anything?
I have a place ready to rent,should I go ahead and get it and move out?Will that affect anything in the bankruptcy if I go ahead and move out.
