    Car valued at RETAIL value???

I received a letter from the trustee asking for the usual documents to be sent to him prior to 341.

It stated that he values your car at RETAIL value.... now here in florida you're allowed only $1000 on a vehicle, and I thought that they value it at trade-in value,, not retail! That changes things for me greatly! I am hurrying to get estimates on things that could decrease the value of the vehicle, as his letter also states we can submit (ie I just got one for bodywork needed which totals just under $1400... on to the mechanical probs...).

Anyone else have your car valued at retail??? My attorney (that I got for just $300 to make and file my amendments for me and also attend the meeting! He's an angel in disguise) said he doesn't agree with that and will fight that (retail valuation).

btw my car is paid off. KBB trade in was $425 (fair condition) and retail is like $3200!

    thanks

Mine was valued at retail. I submitted both retail pprwork and trade in, but they really wanted the retail.

kbb was 425 but retail was 3200? what the heck?

boy i tell ya. why doesnt the court just lay it out and tell it like it is. its not like they havnt been through this before. they know the answer and the attorneys should already know it too.

how many thousands of cases this year alone already had to deal with market or retail value.

i hope you win. i think you will

my personal opinion is the trustee is trying to SCREW you for some reason. i saw the trustee in the 431 harass people badly when they filed pro se. its all i could do from slapping him lol
Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
