I did my means test, but it did not allow me to include my $250 college loan and my TSP (4 year loan) $466.00. Should I still file chapter 7? My income will go down, due, to the tax exemptions; I short refi my home. I was paying $4200 a month down to $3200..but took a short refi loss. Now the unsecured debt is $101. Its saying I failed the means test--but my Schdule I & J show me as -$751 a month. Help. ( I posted in cp13 but no replys) thank you

In many districts, student loans are not allowed as an expense on the means test. It only takes $150 or so a month to fund a Chapter 13 plan. If your student loans are not allowed, then you probably won't pass the means test because the $1,000 less a month for the refi. I am not sure what you mean about the "tax exemptions".Originally posted by lillybell View PostI did my means test, but it did not allow me to include my $250 college loan and my TSP (4 year loan) $466.00.
