How Long Does It Take Before A Case Is Closed?
We filed Chapter 7 in October of 2004. We were discharged in December of 2004. Our case went from no asset, to asset. We ended up having to pay in $700 to "redeem" our assets. We met every deadline. There has been no activity on our case since May. When will they close our case? If anyone has any feedback.........Also, I appreciate all of the advice from the regulars on this site. Hopefully, anyone who is contemplating or going thru BK will find their way here. It has been a source of comfort and information over the last year or so, and I still enjoy visiting and adding my experience. CYA

Since you have been discharged for over a year, and the asset problem taken care of you should see case closed at any given time.
The courts and pacer are "backed up" really bad right now because of the rush of filers before the Oct 17 deadline.
You case is probably ready to be closed - they just haven't gotten to posting it to pacer yet.
Be patient, will all be over soon.
