When did you know about the problem? Was it before, during, or after your 341 meeting?

all of the above for different reasons. mostly just depends when they have time to review the case actually. before or after doesnt matter as to why or even speak to the issue they are having with your case.
from what i have gathered the trustee often times sends a letter to the attorney requesting more information before the hearing. may or may not be a big deal.
then the worst is having a problem with the US Trustee. that comes up until the last day. those are difficult to fight. they usually come when you seem to have disposable income and he wants it. in the same letter he complains about anything under the sun to try to force you into a chapter 13 in which he gets paid a lot more for by the way.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

bkfiler you are so incredibly right. We were one of those last minute victims of the U.S. Trustee. She did try to have our case converted. It is really scary but if you can justify your expenses you should be okay. Also, if you have a one on one with the trustee at least you can give her/him the specifics of your case and that may indeed sway her/him your way...it did for us.
