Ok, all of you just stop. Take a deep breath.
We are adults here. Adults do not always agree with each other. As long as the disagreements are respectful, we tolerate (even encourage) differences of opinions here. It's an open forum.
Bankruptcy is an incredibly stressful time. It's very easy to mis-interpret, over-interpret, see things that aren't really there, and/or feel picked on because all we have to see are words. I know because I've done it too.
We can't see facial expressions, can't hear the tone of voice. We miss all the normal visual and hearing cues we use in real life to figure out if someone is really being disrespectful to us or not.
If you feel another member is being disrespectful - not just disagreeing - with you here, notify the mods with an infraction. We'll go take a look at what's posted with more objectivity than you can. If you are truly being disrespected in a way that violates forum rules, then we'll deal with the members involved behind the scenes. That's why we're here.
The other good approach is to place the member (or members) you find offensive on Ignore.
Honestly, folks.....bankruptcy is hard enough without having these periodic "you said!/no, YOU said!" escalating reply wars between members. One thing for sure - raising the flame level with back-and-forth jabs doesn't stop the bad behavior. This forum is not about emerging triumphant with a scalp dangling from your belt. We're here to help each other, not add to the stress. Let us mods deal with issues you may be having with other members. Accept that we may not agree with you, put the member on Ignore, and move on.
Poking the bear the way it's being done in this thread accomplishes nothing. Step back. Walk away. Put them on Ignore. Notify the mods. End of story.
Continue with these kinds of personally critical back-and-forths and the members involved will start finding themselves on the sidelines not being able to post for a week.
Now let's get back to helping each other survive one of the hardest times of our lives. Nuf' said.....for now.....

NO one is getting away with it. This thread is now closed. Do not start up again.
Go and get a good night's sleep.

And, OhioFiler, your QUOTE really shows readers exactly how you are rude and above others by your words.................as if you are bold enough to talk to people in such a way. You must think you are getting away with it, hey?

The mods are not stupid. Even though you have posted thousands of posts, etc., doesn't mean a newbie should kicked of or ignored by all, just because you go and whine because someone is tired already of your being rude and bullish. I didn't come here to argue. But, in this day and time, bullish atttitudes should not be tolerated. I am not tolerating it from you or OhioFiler. Others have privately emailed me to beg me to not approach either of you for fear of being jumped or punished on the board in some way.
BK is very serious, and nobody here knows how anyone's case is going to turn out, but we all are nervous. Even you. Good luck on your case too..............

YOU can stop being such a bully yourself. Get a life. People are not coming here to have you act like you own the board. Giving advice goes hand in hand with speaking in a nice voice. I am speaking in a nice voice now............stop being overbearing. That is my advice to you, okay.Originally posted by OhioFiler View PostUnfortunately for you, you don't get to set the forum rules. Backtoschool is one of the most thoughtful, helpful and kind posters on this forum. If you were wise you'd read her posts with bated breath.
It is childish and rude to call the trustees bad names when you are not even discharged. Oh, wait, you must know how to get through this without blaming yourself for your financial mistakes. I don't know everything, that is why I came to this forum.
We all have opinions, but YOU should have more compassion and understanding for all BK filers, and the courts.

I have also escalated this to the mods and have urged them to take a look at backtoschool's and ohiofiler's histories on this board...if one looks hard enough it's easy to figure out where all the drama starts.

I have escalated this thread to the mods. Michigan1951 I have you on permanent ignore. I took you off of ignore for a minute to read your last post since it referred to me, but I have put you back on ignore permanently. Please put me on ignore and refrain from making negative comments about me on the public forum.
I assure you I won't be commenting on your case in the future so you have nothing to worry about in regards to my advice.

To Berrymom35, I appreciate you and others speaking out to bullies on this forum. All of us are here for the same reasons. SOME are or use to be high income earners, and some not. The bottom line is we all need a lesson in managing money. We need to take responsibility for our part of how we got here at least. I wish you luck too.Originally posted by berrymom35 View PostGood. Wow, That is really harsh and uncalled for. Everyone here is entitled to an opinion....but telling someone they deserve to have a rough go at it...that is the lowest of the low. Michigan, I'm sorry you've been treated like this here...I was too previously and that is why I rarely post, just read and try to get as much information as I can. I suggest you do the same. If you have a different opinion than a couple of the "regular posters" then you might as well forget it. This is absolutely shameless.
I am done with OhioFiler and Backtoschool anyways. There is no love lost there at all.
I just hope other newcomers continue to have thick skin to stand up to forum bullies fromn here on out.

backtoschool...if I were to post all of the threads in which drama has ensued that you have either been responsible for or participated in...well, I don't have the time nor the desire to look them up. Apparently your the only one with enough time on their hands to be on here 24/7. I think it's a shame that you have achieved "mentor" status because of your bullying posts. You and ohiofiler are right in the middle of every drama that plays out on this board and I personally think it's a shame that the moderators allow it to go on.
Your right I did start a thread about how no one responded...I was frantic and upset and ignored and frustrated and boy you sure helped me out didn't you? You help anyone who agrees 100 percent with you...but if anyone disagrees...watch out...drama..and your right there....all day...everyday....amazing.
I feel sorry for new posters looking here for support and happen to have you take a gander at their post.

OhioFiler, stop being so bullish on this site. Where do you and backtoschool get the idea that you can get away with talking down to people asking questions that you find to be unimportant? Get a grip..............no, grow up. And, backtoschool needs to go back to school in how to treat people here. Her advice may be good, but her tongue and even yours to be honest should be tamed. Nobody comes here to be talked down to. We all are in the same boat, and from what I am reading, backtoschool hasn't got a handle on her case yet either.

Berrymom35 has selective memory. She neglects to mention the thread she authored complaining to all of us for not answering her questions fast enough:Originally posted by berrymom35 View PostGood. You deserve it. May you have one of those kinds of trustees.

You are officially on my ignore list Michigan1951, lol. I suggest you put me on yours. You asked a question and I took the time to answer. I will not make the same mistake twice.Originally posted by Michigan1951 View PostI don't know why people are blasting the Trustee and calling him names like Elmer Fudd in cartoonland, when we all know that bankruptcy isn't suppose to be in favor of us in the first place. My goodness what excitement in the thread. lol.
I guess I can prove how much my husband has spent on filing for his permanent residence, taking driving lessons to get his license, etc. We're not talking a lot of money here. He probably brings home about $300/week after taxes and gives me $200 of it. I just feel like I'm probably close to the top as it is so every little bit helps.
Thanks everyone.
