I just got back from my meeting, everything went great. I was in and out - got there a little early to see the 8am cases to get an idea of how it was all going to go down. The trustee was very brief with everyone and asked everybody pretty much the same questions - it seemed like he just wanted to get people on their way. I was really nervous when I got there, but after seeing how the process worked it put me at ease. I've been to traffic court before and this was more lax than that. The trustee swore me in and asked for my DL and my SS Card. Here's what the trustee asked(as far as I can remember):
State your name and address
How long have you lived in the state?
Are you expecting any inheritance?
Do you own any property?
Is everything accurate on the petition?
Did you get a copy of the of the information letter?
I sold some stock last year and he did ask me if I had any stock left. I said no and that was the end of the questions. He said have a nice day and that was it. For those that remember the primary reason I filed was because of a lawsuit with a record company - I thought for sure he was going to bring it up but he didn't say a word about. I glad that he didnt! He also didn't meantion anything about tax returns either, which makes me happy.
Anyways like I said it was very informal - my hearing was at 9 and I was out of there by 9:20. I'm glad this is over with - I've been worrying about this for months! Now I just have to wait till discharge and this whole ordeal will be over with!
