I have seen a lawyer but have not filed yet. I have been unemployed for 15 mos. I have finished a mortgage HAMP mod, was current on all debt, until dec 1st, 28,000 in debt. I have about 4,000 equity in home, my 2 cars are worth
2400 and 1900. Bill collectors have just started calling, I was waiting for mod to finalize before I filed ch7. I am concerned about my cars. I have about 3000
in bank accts, and stocks. I stopped using the cards end of October, used for living expenses the past year, groceries, clothing,
car repairs. All household furniture, electronics etc are over 11 yrs old. I know on paper it seems no asset but I am still scared to file. Really have no other alternative, my health insurance runs out Dec 31, I will be paying 500 a month for cobra, so no money to make CC payments. All advice is welcome.
