Cars in BK 7

We have two vehicles, both paid. One is a 2000 Expedition and the other is a 2002 Ford E350 Van. The expedition is probably worth only a few thousand if that and the van maybe $5-6k. The question is, in a BK 7 in Florida, since they only allow a $1000 exemption does that mean they take both cars since they may be valued over that? We need vehicles to work obviously and I am accepting a new job in Feb and the family will not follow until school is out.
Anyway to avoid having vehicles taken away in BK7
