    35 1/2 Hours

It's 35 hours and 30 minutes til my 341. Antacid time. Butterflies are jumping.
Also need some help...There is a link somewhere in here to all of the questions that the Trustee can possible ask. Of course I for got to bookmark it. I have to give the DW a crash course tomorrow. (Her style of coping is to stick her head in the sand until it's over.)
So tomorrow night I'll have her read several posts re: 341 meetings and read the document itself. I can't afford to have the Trustee ask her if she read and is aware of what the petition states and have her say, "No, I just let my husband deal with it"
Thought she would be more comfortable (or at least I would) if she knew of all the questions that "could" be asked.
    Thanks for any help. Art

Hang in there! With my husband and I, she told just one of us to speak for both of us, and had my husband state, on the record, that my answers were his answers, so only I did the talking.

    It'll be ok...deep breaths!
    Filed CH7 - 10/13/05;

aart! come on man! you know how easy the 341 is. its easy as pie. i know you know that. everything is gonna go so easy you are gonna be so happy. the trustees are always nice and it takes 30 seconds after you swear in. mine went so fast that i cant remember what the hell happened lol. next thing i knew i was expused and he was on to the next person. heck i felt like i was gonna be pushed out of the way lol.

at all the 341's i went to they made both persons answer yes and no to the standard questions. dont worry, just tell your wife to answer as you do. no biug deal.

thte 341 is the easiest part of the entore process and it is to be enjoyed. you might not think it now but wait until its done! you mark my words

Art, man my fingers are crossed for you. I hope it goes easy for you. Theres a search option up top on the forum and I tried to help out by typing "341 questions" in it, but too many results came back and it wasn't filtered enough. Lots of pages of messages to sift through. Good luck Bro.

I believe it is standard for one spouse to do the talking. We each had to state name & address, then the trustee asked who was going to answer the questions.

            It will be ok!
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

              AAAArt,

CALM DOWN, MY MAN.............. TAKE A DEEP BREATH!!
if your attorney hasn't called you before the meeting or the Trustee hasn't called (if you filed pro se), then your 341 meeting should go okay..... Shouldn't be any surprises at the 341 meeting (unless of course, you won the lottery last nite)..... (wishfull thinking, huh).

My problems started before the 341 meeting....... so I'm sure you will be OKAY - just like other normal bankruptcies....

You will see - it will go perfectly, I'm sure.....
As long as you have no "big objections" from creditors or have commited fraud - you will go thru this in a "breeze"...

Read my lips, mark my words - here's hoping it all goes okay....

Believe me when I say " I've eat my SHARE of anti-acids.... and nerve pills.

              Minny
              Minny

"It's amazing the paths that our feet sometimes follow in life".

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

                Relax there Art.
I practically made myself sick worrying before my meeting.
I'm self employed and had no problems what so ever.
In fact, I was literally in the hot seat for about 2 minutes.
Bottom line is that if you're honest about everything, it will be fine.
Just wait until you're walking out the courtroom door and see how WONDERFUL that feels after it's all over!

Okay, Thanks for the assurances. Mine is not as cut and dried as some others. At risk is my motorcycle, which 2 attys here told me shouldn't be a problem and $14,000 a year of self employment income which comes from a "finder's fee" type arrangement from when I sold my business. Two lawyers have told me that it will be an asset and be taken, however, my current atty. sees one opportunity in the way which the contract is worded which may allow me to keep it.
A lot of things "could happen. If the Trustee allows me to keep the money, but not the bike we may be forced into a 13, but I still think that I can justify a 7 due to medical expenses.
Things have not been going well for us financially recently. DW kept getting Urinary Tract Infections (Bad ones). She was sent to a urologist, catscan last Mon. Cystoscopy this Fri. Doc. says it's prob nothing, but since she's a 2 time cancer survivor (cervical and breast) he wants to make sure. We agree, but more expenses.
My mother thought she had a minor stroke and her 92nd B-Day was last Sat. I made a trip to see her. Because of snow, I had to spend a night each way in a motel. Cost about $300.
Dryer caught on fire. Free next day delivery - then I find out it's only if the appliance cost $397 or more, so I move up a notch to save $49. Then I find out it's a rebate. Money won't be here for 6-8 weeks. Just turned on the dryer and it is setting off the smoke alarm. (They said it might have fumes and a funny smell for the first load) Need to open windows and patio door to run it and it's 9 degrees right now.
Not feeling very lucky at the moment, but it will pass.
Thanks again for the advice and sorry, but I felt the need to rant a little.

It will be okay Art. The trustee will ask for one of you to do the talking. I did the speaking during our 341 while DH looked like he desperately needed a cig and a beer!

It's tough going through a BK during the holidays and my daughters posted their Christmas list on the fridge. I've warned them that Christmas will really be scaled back this year. I also got to thinking about how insane it is that we spend over $100.00 for each holiday meal, so I am looking at ways to trim back those costs as well.

It will be nice to not have payday loans looming over our head or desperately praying that checks won't reach the bank before deposits!

Keep the faith, you will be survive this!
