    new job?

what is the rules for extra income and waiting to discharge?

I went on a job interview today and it looks promising. I go back on Friday for another "hands on" interview. However if I do get it I would start Monday. How will this effect our bk? It would pull us out of the red big time with our budget. Our 341 is over and the trustee has ruled us no assest so far.

My lawyer told me I would be alright if I got a new job after the 341 meeting. I have heard from several other people that you should be alright, but I have seen posted here a few times where people said to wait until after discharge mainly due to if the US trustee objects to something you might have to go back and make statements underoath. Eventually everybody gets a new job that makes more money or gets a raise at work so I would say take it, but thats my own personal opinion.

So what is the clause when you get a promotion/raise/relocation in the process of your BK? What if your pay increase is really a cost of living increase? Example being if you move from the midwest to the NE and are compensated due to the COL in that area? Are you penalized for moving?

          good and bad news

Well good news is that my bankruptsy was discharged 11/18/2005! i filed in mid july. Meeting was 08/11 and I got my papers in the mail last week on the discharge!
Bad news is I changed jobs and I never recieved my last check of old employer. It got lost in the mail. it took me 6 weeks to get the lost payroll replaced. In the meantime prior to this I wrote my checks as usual as if the money would be on time so the fiasco of my payroll getting lost caused some 300$ in transactions to go overdraft that generated several hundred in fees so i am in debt to the tune of$700 to the bank that I can not pay all due to the issue of a payroll check not arriving on time. It seems like I got myself in a small hole again. I wish i can make the postal service pay for it but we all know that will not happen. i finally got my missing chck but it all goes to getting rent, car , and bills paid. *sigh*
