Hello everyone I have not been here in a while my computer blew lucky me .. My question is I can't wait my 60 days since the 341 meeting is tommorrow sunday .. so how long does it take to get your discharge date in the mail? Everything has gone so far good no news is good news right? Please let me know my steps should be coming up. I have read so far I need to reestablish my credit. But I am not interested in getting a credit card nor a car payment is there any other way . I do have a current mortgage never late past 30 days anyways.. any thoughts would be appreciated ,, thanks so much don't know what I would have done without you guys .. great group..)))

The discharge could come next week, or next month, depending on how busy your district is.

Don't feel pressured to get a card til you are ready. This is not 'one size fits all'. You can get copies of your credit report, and write to the bureaus if accounts are still showing you owe $$.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Best advice I can give you is make sure your mortgage payments are paid on time or before they are due. Late payments - even two days - will not help you when refinancing.....

On time payments will boost your credit score better then anything.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
