I have a question, I want to get something thru my employer computer purchase program,They had said i need a letter from the trustee for this,the monthly payment is very low,around 40.00,how do i get this letter from the trustee? do i contact the bankruptcy court direct?or do i track down the trustee?i had my 341 meeting almost 2 weeks ago

i dont quite understand. a creditor doesnt need something from the trustee to give you credit. maybe they meant you need to be discharged, but thats not true because anything you sign up for now cant be discharged so you would owe it forever. do you know what they are asking about?
also, you can get great computers nowdays on the cheap. for example, best buy or circuit city has them for down to around $300 and sometimes less for a complete computer, monitor and printer, included after rebates.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

If you are in a ch. 13, you need permission from the court to take on new debt. Perhaps this is what you mean?Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
