    Discharging overdraft charges??

My husband and I had a checking account in which we accrued several overdraft charges. We closed the account 2 years ago and the bank said it would go to collections and we never heard any thing more about it. We have since opened a new account with a different bank.

We included these overdraft charges in our BK. I am a co-signer on my daughter's checking and savings accounts at this same bank. Will her credit be affected with my name being on her account, even though hers wasn't on our account??

    Thanks

    It shouldn't.

As I understand it from the Nolo guide, being listed on your daughter's account may come up with the US Trustee, however as a fiduciary involvement, it should not be subject to consideration in your filing - though SHOULD BE LISTED with a brief explanation. I'm guessing it would be untouchable by judgement for the same reason.

As for credit reporting, I don't trust any of those jerks to keep proper records.
      Chapter 7 Filed 1/4/11
      Discharged No-asset 4/1/11
      And definitely NOT an attorney.
